Tuscany villa!

We hit another surprise enroute to our Tuscany villa. What was supposed to be a quick bathroom stop at a tiny hilltown (the wall is only 1/2 mile all around) turned into a party! As George and I ducked in for a quick caffe machiatto,
We heard music! 

I guess Italy is just one big party!

After that George and Scrat caught up on some zzzzz's 

While I continued to enjoy the Tuscany landscape. Finally, we reached our villa, which is completely luxurious! It's actually quite over the top for a Rick Steves tour, so we've all been sworn to secrecy...nobody tell Rick! The guides usually pick the hotels.

We have a two room suite!


Of course we hit the pool right off!

Dinner tonight was here at the villa, pure Truscan deliciousness! Our guide begged them for lighter fare than we've been having, so they put out an amazing antipasta buffet. I've never been so happy! Next came a light pesto pasta with a tomato bread thick soup, then chocolate or (and) strawberry mousse for Dolci. Oh, we're all truly in heaven. THIS is what I've come for! So...if I don't come home, this is definitely NOT the place to come look for me!
