Rainy Beaune

Well, turns out our Wine tour is tomorrow! So. With today as our free day, we walked the rampart walls around the city center area, then out towards the north, where the vinyards start about 2 blocks away from the city center! As we walked, it started to rain! We've been hauling around these little rain ponchos ever since we bought then as insurance on our Berlin bike tour! 
So, we decided against a picnic bike ride thru the vinyards like I'd planned for our free day. Instead, we gave Scrat some playtime! We showed him the vinyards
He played with an alpaca
And a very frolicy goat
But the chickens didn't like him.
He was so sad. It was so wet that even the ducks were sheltering their duckings!! She had a whole little flock under her wings!

And, here we are headed back to our hotel to dry out and head out for lunch. I think it's going to dry out and get hot/humid for the afternoon!
